The Stan Carlos Quartet is a fresh take on classic cool jazz, formed in Denver, Colorado in early 2024. Though all members are working contemporary musicians with modern training and experience, they deliberately channel the look, sound, and vibe of early-1960s hard bop and West Coast cool. Sharp suits, vintage instruments, and a smoky, intimate club aesthetic define their live shows and recordings. Their debut album, “Too Cool for Comfort”, features all-original compositions by Stan Carlos and was released in 2025. This is a fictional group.
